Manufacturing / Production Engineer (Fiberglass)

Location: Onsite in Gulfport, Mississippi, United States. Four-day, 10-hour schedule with three-day weekends.

hirify.global is presenting a direct/FTE manufacturing engineering opportunity with a client producing fiberglass-related products.

What you will do

• Create and prepare 2D and 3D designs and cut files for fiberglass-related products.
• Review designs with the design team after creation to confirm manufacturability and execution feasibility.
• Execute approved designs on the production floor in collaboration with the Production Lead.
• Support product development, tooling development, manufacturing activities, and multiple products simultaneously.
• Participate in drawing reviews, requirements matrices, procurement, work instructions, machining, inspections, and objective quality evidence.
• Help ensure products meet initial specifications and customer shipments are complete.

Requirements

• United States citizenship is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Department of Defense security clearance.
• Bachelor of Science degree in composites, mechanical, civil, structural, chemical, aerospace, or a related engineering field, including naval architecture.
• At least one year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, including designing parts and fixtures under supervisor oversight.
• Required experience with SolidWorks for 3D modeling and 2D drawing development.
• Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Experience manufacturing fiberglass or related products such as aramid fiber (Kevlar) or basalt fiber.
• Subject matter expertise in selected areas of the production process.
