Production Support Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Zeeland, Michigan, United States; onsite production support with a schedule suitable for production needs and occasional travel

What you will do

• Support manufacturing through engineering techniques, continuous process improvement, and hands-on scientific problem-solving.
• Develop technical knowledge of equipment and processes to support process development, optimization, and downtime reduction.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean manufacturing practices and support departmental KPIs.
• Collaborate with other departments and cross-functional teams to meet quality standards and customer requirements.
• Support manufacturing readiness for new products and processes and resolve safety and quality issues through root-cause analysis and permanent corrective actions.
• Build working knowledge across manufacturing workstations, provide resources, and remove barriers for production teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required; employment authorization is verified through E-Verify.
• Ability to accommodate a work schedule suitable for production needs and occasional travel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to solve problems systematically, communicate effectively, collaborate across teams, and maintain high standards for safety and quality.

Nice to have

• Professional work experience or internships in a related area.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on teamwork experience and strong written and verbal communication skills.
