Facilities Operations Tech - Level 5 Nights D-Shift (Thu, Fri, Sat, alternating Wed) (EV & Energy Storage)

Location: Onsite in De Soto, Kansas, United States. The schedule is the night D-shift: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and alternating Wednesday. Valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction is required.

What you will do

• Monitor, maintain, and optimize mechanical and electrical facility systems, including compressed air, HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and water utilities.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting, repairs, outage response, and corrective actions with minimal supervision.
• Use diagnostic and measurement equipment to evaluate performance, identify root causes, and restore disrupted services.
• Drive reliability and efficiency improvements through preventive actions, continuous improvement initiatives, and operational data analysis.
• Maintain equipment records, work orders, and CMMS documentation, including Maintenance Operating Procedures and Job Safety Analyses.
• Mentor technicians, coordinate with vendors and contractors, and collaborate with Engineering, Construction, and other internal teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or two years of facilities, maintenance, or related experience.
• At least four years of facilities, industrial maintenance, or related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and utility systems in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex systems, read diagrams and schematics, use diagnostic tools, and perform root cause analysis.
• Experience with CMMS maintenance tracking and reporting, plus strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Working-level English reading, writing, and speaking skills and unrestricted U.S. work authorization are required.

Nice to have

• Trade school or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, or a related field.
• OSHA 10 or 30, CPR, HAZWOPER, or NFPA 70E certification.
• Eight or more years of facilities experience in high-volume manufacturing, preferably automotive or battery manufacturing.
• Experience with multi-trade utility optimization, contractors, vendors, continuous improvement, engineering, construction management, capital projects, or scheduling software.
