Utilities Maintenance Technician - Level 5 (EV & Energy Storage)

Location: Onsite in De Soto, Kansas, United States. Valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction is required.

hirify.global produces lithium-ion batteries and is expanding a large-scale battery manufacturing facility supporting electric vehicles and sustainable energy.

What you will do

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, pneumatic, and process utility systems.
• Lead responses to complex equipment and utility failures involving compressed air, HVAC, nitrogen, process water, vacuum, and cooling systems.
• Read blueprints, schematics, manuals, and work orders; use diagnostic instruments to measure system parameters and verify repairs.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve uptime, reliability, and system performance.
• Develop and execute Maintenance Operating Procedures and Job Safety Analyses.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Level 4 and junior technicians while collaborating with Engineering, Construction, and Production.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or two years of relevant experience; four or more years of industrial maintenance or facilities operations experience.
• Advanced working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, HVAC, and industrial utility systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to independently diagnose and repair complex, non-routine, and multi-system failures and implement corrective actions.
• Experience using CMMS to review equipment history, identify trends, and support maintenance planning.
• Ability to interpret schematics, use multimeters and pressure or airflow gauges, document work in Microsoft Office, and collaborate across functions.
• Working-level English proficiency is required, as well as valid unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Eight or more years of progressively responsible industrial maintenance or facilities operations experience, preferably in automotive or battery manufacturing.
• Trade school or an associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or a related field.
• PIT license, MEWP certification, driver’s license, CPR/First Aid, NFPA70E, OSHA 10 or 30, and HAZWOPER certification.
• Experience with Building Management Systems and expertise in electrical, HVAC, or mechanical systems.
