Utilities Maintenance Technician - Level 3

Location: Onsite in De Soto, Kansas, United States. Candidates must have valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction.

Panasonic Energy is expanding a lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility supporting sustainable energy and electric vehicle technologies.

What you will do

• Perform routine rounds, preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and process utility systems.
• Monitor and support utility systems including compressed air, HVAC, nitrogen, vacuum, DI water, and process cooling water.
• Assist higher-level technicians with diagnosing utility faults, outages, and production-support equipment issues.
• Use hand tools and basic diagnostic instruments to measure pressure, temperature, humidity, airflow, and ampacity.
• Maintain equipment logs, work orders, and CMMS documentation while escalating abnormal or recurring conditions.
• Collaborate with maintenance and cross-functional teams, follow scheduled shifts, and support facility projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or two years of experience in the functional area.
• At least two years of experience in industrial maintenance or facilities operations; four or more years is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and/or HVAC systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use CMMS, basic diagnostic instruments, technical documentation, blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
• Working-level English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking is required.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• Trade school or vocational training, or an associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or a related field.
• PIT license, MEWP certification, valid driver’s license, CPR/First Aid certification, or OSHA 10/30 and HAZWOPER certification.
• NFPA70E Qualified Electrical Worker certification and exposure to Building Management Systems.
