Facilities Operations Tech - Level 4

Location: Onsite in De Soto, Kansas, United States. Valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction is required.

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is expanding a lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility supporting electric vehicles and sustainable energy solutions.

What you will do

• Perform routine rounds, monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and electrical facility systems.
• Maintain compressed air, HVAC, electrical distribution, water, and other utility systems.
• Respond to outages and operational issues, diagnose disruptions, and implement corrective actions with limited supervision.
• Identify equipment abnormalities, support root cause analysis, and contribute to reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain equipment records, work orders, maintenance procedures, safety analyses, and CMMS documentation.
• Train and mentor Level 3 and peer Level 4 technicians while collaborating with Engineering, Construction, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or two years of facilities, maintenance, or related experience.
• At least three years of facilities, industrial maintenance, or related experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or utility systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair systems with limited supervision and use hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to interpret diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation, and experience with CMMS systems.
• Working-level English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking, onsite availability, and unrestricted U.S. work authorization are required.

Nice to have

• Trade school or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, or a related field.
• Safety or technical certifications such as OSHA 10 or 30, CPR, HAZWOPER, or NFPA70E.
• Six or more years of facilities experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably automotive or battery manufacturing.
• Experience with multiple utility systems and trades, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, contractors, vendors, or cross-functional industrial teams.
