Infrastructure Storage Engineer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and operate enterprise storage platforms supporting compute, virtualization, database, and Kubernetes workloads.
• Manage block, file, and object storage across data center, edge, and cloud environments.
• Engineer and optimize NetApp ONTAP, Pure Storage, and Ceph environments for performance, data protection, capacity, and cost.
• Integrate storage with VMware and Kubernetes using CSI.
• Automate storage operations through scripting, Ansible, Terraform, and REST APIs.
• Troubleshoot issues across storage, network, and host layers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least five years of enterprise storage engineering experience; the position lists six or more years of experience.
• Deep expertise in NetApp ONTAP or Pure Storage FlashArray/FlashBlade, plus production-scale Ceph experience.
• Strong knowledge of SAN, NAS, and object storage protocols, VMware and Kubernetes storage integration, and storage performance and capacity planning.
• Strong scripting, automation, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen, Green Card holder, EAD holder, or H-1B transfer candidate. New H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

• Vendor certifications such as NCDA, NCIE, or Pure Storage certifications.
• Experience with hybrid-cloud storage replication and software-defined storage platforms beyond Ceph.
• Experience with petabyte-scale object storage.
• Exposure to AI/ML workloads with extreme I/O requirements.
