Installation Technician I - Start Up (Commercial Refrigeration)

What you will do

• Start up and verify newly installed HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and building automation equipment against engineering and factory specifications.
• Install, connect, and adjust thermostats, sensors, controllers, controls, cabling, communication loops, and related mechanical components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, control drawings, specifications, technical manuals, regulations, and trade codes; identify errors and omissions.
• Diagnose system performance, troubleshoot and maintain commercial mechanical and plumbing equipment, and ensure equipment is level and aligned.
• Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal managers; explain completed work and provide guidance to less-experienced technicians.
• Complete customer, invoicing, and EPA documentation and maintain organized truck inventory when applicable.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with two years of related experience and/or training, or a technical degree with no experience required.
• EPA 608 Certification Level 3 and a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read plans, blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at elevations, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and out of town as required.
• Strong communication, organization, time management, customer focus, judgment, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
