Cloud DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Hybrid in Fairfax, Virginia, United States, with up to 3 days per week in the office; travel under 20% to CONUS/OCONUS customer sites and government installations.

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Build and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure for multiple mission partner network environments.
• Write reusable Terraform modules and automate provisioning for networking, compute, and storage.
• Develop and improve CI/CD and Git-based deployment workflows using GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Support identity and access management, including SSO, roles, permissions, RBAC, and encryption.
• Troubleshoot deployments and operational issues across environments, including monitoring and logging.
• Document reusable infrastructure patterns and support data platforms, analytics integrations, and AI/ML workloads.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience and the ability to obtain DoD 8140 IAT Level II Security+ or higher within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity in Fairfax, Virginia, with up to 3 days in the office.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or a similar role, including hands-on AWS production experience.
• Strong Terraform, CI/CD, Git, cloud networking, monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with identity and access management, SSO, RBAC, encryption, and scripting with Python, Bash, or similar tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitOps workflows.
• Exposure to Kubernetes or container platforms and AI/ML environments.
• Familiarity with cloud security tools, compliance frameworks, data platforms, or regulated environments.
• AWS or Azure certifications.
