Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

Salary: $120,000–$135,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and maintain cloud-hosted services, platforms, and cloud-native RESTful APIs.
• Build and manage Docker images, Helm charts, Kubernetes/OpenShift deployments, and infrastructure-as-code configurations.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, testing, monitoring, versioning, rollback, and documentation publishing.
• Develop serverless SaaS components using AWS CDK, Lambda, API Gateway, and ECS/Fargate.
• Monitor service performance, reliability, and scaling; implement caching, concurrency, resource controls, and autoscaling improvements.
• Manage dependencies including PostgreSQL, Kafka, Grafana, and Elasticsearch, while troubleshooting production and staging issues and documenting corrective measures.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in cloud development or infrastructure engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience designing and building SaaS applications and multi-cloud solutions.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tooling, public cloud SDKs/APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm, Operators, GitOps, and Terraform.
• Strong experience building REST or GraphQL APIs with Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript; AWS and Azure experience is preferred.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, tracing, cloud security, troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
