TL;DR
Sr. Network Engineer - Professional Services (SDN): Designing, deploying, and supporting complex enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, SD-Access, and SD-Branch environments for commercial and federal clients with an accent on multi-site modernization, network security, and multi-vendor infrastructure. Focus on leading MPLS-to-SD-WAN migrations, implementing intent-based segmentation and automation, and delivering customer-facing network architectures and deployment methodologies.
Location: Remote within the United States, with up to 50% travel to customer sites nationwide. US citizenship is required, and the role requires the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance.

What you will do
- Design, implement, and support complex enterprise LAN, WAN, routing, switching, and software-defined networking environments.
- Lead SD-WAN deployments, including orchestrator onboarding, zero-touch provisioning, policy development, segmentation, and QoS configuration.
- Deploy SD-Access and SD-Branch solutions with campus fabric, network access control, security, wireless, and automation capabilities.
- Execute WAN circuit migrations, including MPLS-to-SD-WAN transitions, and modernize campus LANs with minimal customer impact.
- Assess and document enterprise networks, prepare technical deliverables, and support modernization and infrastructure refresh initiatives.
- Review SOWs and LOE estimates, collaborate with design engineering, and support presales presentations and solution demonstrations.
Requirements
- US citizenship and eligibility to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance; an active clearance is preferred but not required.
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise LAN/WAN design and deployment, preferably in professional services.
- Current professional-level networking certification, such as CCNP Enterprise, JNCIP, ACCP, or NSE7; CCIE or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- Deep hands-on experience with enterprise routing and switching, WAN architectures, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, LACP, and QoS.
- Experience with enterprise firewalls, at least one SDN platform, and multi-vendor network environments.
- Ability to create HLDs, LLDs, implementation plans, and change control documentation, work autonomously, communicate with executive stakeholders, and travel up to 50% by plane and car.
Nice to have
- Experience with Cisco Catalyst Center, Meraki, Juniper Mist, Aruba Central, ThousandEyes, IPSLA, or NetFlow/sFlow analytics.
- Experience with SASE, cloud-delivered security, DMVPN, FlexVPN, and cloud connectivity through AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, or GCP Interconnect.
- Experience with Python, Ansible, Terraform, NETCONF, RESTCONF, or equivalent automation technologies.
- Previous Technical Lead, Senior Engineering, or Principal Engineer experience in a VAR or professional services environment.
