Senior Network Engineer (Python)

Location: Hong Kong or Singapore. Occasional travel to data centers, mainly in the APAC region, is required.

What you will do

• Plan, maintain, support, and monitor large-scale global network infrastructure.
• Design, engineer, configure, and implement network solutions and infrastructure projects.
• Manage proactive maintenance and optimize network performance and availability.
• Lead strategic projects for low-latency, high-performance connectivity between data centers.
• Work with financial exchanges, brokers, banks, and colocation facilities to implement network connectivity.
• Collaborate with Systems, Operations, and Trading teams while troubleshooting network issues and supporting safe infrastructure changes.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience designing enterprise networks, capacity planning, and managing full lifecycle projects.
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, including OSPF, BGP, PIM, and IGMP.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, Arista, Cisco, routing, switching, VPN, office Wi-Fi, and Ethernet troubleshooting.
• Experience analyzing packets with tcpdump and Wireshark and diagnosing latency and packet loss.
• Strong Python proficiency with experience using network APIs such as REST and NETCONF.
• Experience with Unix/Linux networking, Ansible, NetBox, fiber-optic connectivity, cabling standards, and data-center power and cooling considerations.

• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
