Director, Finance Systems - Revenue Systems Engineering

Location: San Francisco, California, or Seattle, Washington; hybrid, with staff expected to work from an office at least 25% of the time.

What you will do

• Own the architecture and development of revenue systems supporting multi-entity operations and global subsidiaries.
• Design scalable DBT/SQL data pipelines and standardized data flows across accounting, billing engineering, product, and finance systems.
• Build automated revenue recognition workflows for subscription and consumption-based billing models, supporting ASC 606 compliance.
• Develop integration patterns, reconciliation engines, testing frameworks, and workflows for high-volume financial transactions.
• Provide technical leadership during month-end close, ERP transformations, system migrations, and enterprise integrations.
• Lead innovation with AI agents for discrepancy investigation, automated testing, and self-service revenue analytics while mentoring team members.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, DBT, workflow orchestration, infrastructure as code, and cloud data warehouses.
• Extensive experience with enterprise billing platforms, revenue recognition, ASC 606, and consumption-based pricing models.
• Expertise in ERP configuration and integrations, including REST, SOAP/XML, webhooks, ERP extensions, and custom object development.
• Experience leading ERP transformations or major system migrations and designing real-time and batch integration architectures.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions aligned with accounting principles and audit standards.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and experience in a relevant field.

Nice to have

• 12+ years of revenue systems engineering experience, including hands-on Order-to-Cash implementations.
• Experience with Salesforce CPQ/Revenue Cloud, Zuora, Stripe Billing, Workday Financials, Workday Prism, or Oracle Accounting Hub.
• Experience with MuleSoft, Workato, Boomi, GraphQL, event-driven architectures, and agentic development workflows.
• Familiarity with Airflow, Terraform, BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, and revenue analytics tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance, financial controls, audit readiness, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
