Director, Finance Systems - Revenue Systems Engineering (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA; hybrid policy requires staff to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time

What you will do

• Own the architecture, implementation, and optimization of Order-to-Cash revenue systems across multi-entity operations and global subsidiaries.
• Design scalable DBT/SQL data pipelines and standardized data flows for high-volume financial transactions.
• Build automated revenue recognition workflows for subscription and consumption-based billing models in alignment with ASC 606.
• Develop enterprise integrations across billing, sales, ERP, accounting, product, and data infrastructure systems.
• Implement automated reconciliation, data transformation testing, and deployment workflows to improve reliability and reduce manual effort.
• Lead technical workstreams, mentor engineers, and introduce AI agents for discrepancy investigation, automated testing, and self-service analytics.

Requirements

• Strong technical proficiency in Python, SQL, DBT, workflow orchestration, infrastructure as code, and cloud data warehouses.
• Extensive experience with enterprise billing platforms, revenue recognition, consumption-based pricing, and ERP configuration and integrations.
• Hands-on expertise with REST, SOAP/XML, webhooks, ERP extensions, custom objects, real-time APIs, and batch processing.
• Experience leading ERP transformations or major system migrations and translating accounting and audit requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration across Finance, Accounting, Revenue Operations, BizTech, Data Infrastructure, and Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience in a relevant field.

Nice to have

• 12+ years of revenue systems engineering experience, including deep Order-to-Cash implementation expertise.
• Experience with Salesforce CPQ/Revenue Cloud, Zuora, Stripe Billing, Workday Financials, Workday Prism, or Oracle Accounting Hub.
• Experience with MuleSoft, Workato, Boomi, GraphQL, event-driven architectures, Airflow, Terraform, BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Experience integrating AI/LLM systems into financial operations and using agentic development workflows.
• Knowledge of SOX controls, audit readiness, Agile/Scrum, and financial reporting tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Hex.
