Product Finance Director (AI Products & GPU Investment Strategy)

Location: Mountain View, California; San Francisco, California; or Seattle, Washington

Salary: $223,800–$307,650 USD for Zone 1 locations; $201,400–$276,850 USD for Zone 2 locations. Annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits may also be available.

What you will do

• Plan GPU supply and demand across production inference, internal research, and new product initiatives.
• Drive capacity commitments and procurement strategies across hyperscalers and neoclouds, optimizing reserved, spot, and on-demand compute.
• Lead revenue, margin, and adoption analytics for the AI product portfolio.
• Model AI product unit economics and partner with Product and Pricing on consumption structures.
• Define efficiency KPIs such as GPU utilization, cost per token or query, and serverless efficiency, while improving multi-cloud cost allocation and reporting.
• Design ROI and capital allocation frameworks and build a high-performing product finance team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Strategic Finance or Product Finance, with foundational training in Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Management Consulting.
• Deep knowledge of consumption-based business models, public cloud infrastructure costs, unit cost analysis, and gross margin optimization.
• Experience partnering with senior Engineering and Product executives on technical roadmaps and commercial pricing.
• Ability to build scalable financial systems and turn complex telemetry data into actionable models and recommendations.
• Experience building, leading, and developing high-output finance teams in fast-moving environments.
• Work in one of the specified U.S. locations.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI and GPU economics, including training and inference workloads, hyperscaler commitments, and neoclouds.
• Ownership of a multi-product P&L within an enterprise SaaS, PaaS, or data infrastructure company.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, or notebook environments.
