Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner

Location: Remote within the United States; candidates must hold an active RN compact license and multi-state nurse practitioner licensure, including Maine and at least one other state. Candidates residing in California, New York, Georgia, Tennessee, Illinois, Nevada, Missouri, Alabama, South Carolina, Indiana, Michigan, Oregon, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Alaska, Washington, D.C., or Hawaii are not currently considered. Part-time shifts are scheduled between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. PT/PST.

Salary: $123,000 per year on average for full-time roles, with a guaranteed base, equity, benefits, and possible productivity incentives.

What you will do

• Conduct age-appropriate patient histories and virtual examinations.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute, chronic, and mental health conditions across pediatric and adult populations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and develop accurate, timely treatment plans.
• Request consultations and referrals when clinically appropriate.
• Counsel patients and families on treatment plans and evidence-based care.
• Provide cross-coverage, including reviewing laboratory results, while supporting evening, weekend, and holiday coverage.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited master's- or doctoral-level Family Nurse Practitioner program and an accredited nursing school.
• Active Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse licenses, including an active RN compact license and multi-state licensure in Maine and another state.
• Current AANP or ANCC national Family Nurse Practitioner certification.
• At least 3 years of post-training experience in a high-volume urgent care or primary care setting.
• Experience treating patients from newborns through adults, with strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Proficiency with technology and electronic medical records; active Medicare status and good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and federal health programs.

Nice to have

• Five or more active state licenses.
• Telemedicine or video-based virtual care experience.
• Experience with Athena EMR.
