Engineering Manager, AI Platform (AI)

What you will do

• Lead and grow a multidisciplinary team of software, data, and AI engineers.
• Direct end-to-end development of conversational AI agents using orchestration, retrieval, tool integration, and citation capabilities.
• Deliver AI-powered document review accelerators for classification, privilege identification, PII/PHI detection, summarization, translation, transcription, entity extraction, and timeline generation.
• Partner with Product Management, legal domain experts, Review Operations, and engineering stakeholders on the product roadmap.
• Establish evaluation, testing, regression, governance, and human-in-the-loop processes for reliable and responsible AI.
• Guide architecture and optimization across real-time and batch workloads, including model routing, retrieval, inference, caching, batching, scalability, and cost management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of people-management experience leading software engineering teams.
• Strong software-engineering background with experience delivering scalable, production-grade applications and platforms.
• Experience with distributed systems, data-processing platforms, batch workloads, or event-driven architectures.
• Experience with modern web and cloud technologies such as Python, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, AWS, Azure, or comparable platforms.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills in a global environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with generative AI, LLMs, agentic AI, RAG, vector databases, search, or information retrieval.
• Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, MCP, or equivalent orchestration frameworks.
• Knowledge of AI evaluation, model benchmarking, hallucination detection, fine-tuning, inference optimization, and model lifecycle management.
• Experience with enterprise AI applications, legal technology, eDiscovery, compliance, investigations, or document review.
