Tech Lead (Cloud Files Storage/Systems Engineering)

Location: Serbia; hybrid work with a minimum of 3 onsite days per week in applicable locations, including Belgrade

What you will do

• Architect, design, and develop distributed data or control path software for a converged computing and storage platform.
• Build features for performance optimization, scale-out capacity, and software resiliency.
• Analyze complex distributed systems and design solutions for customer requirements.
• Develop cloud-based file storage capabilities for private and public cloud environments.
• Provide technical leadership to an engineering team and contribute to product and team growth.
• Collaborate with development, testing, documentation, and product management teams to deliver high-quality products.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience developing distributed software.
• Strong programming skills in one or more of C, C++, Python, or Golang.
• Understanding of UNIX/Linux systems.
• Development experience with file systems, operating systems, distributed systems management, or cloud technologies.
• Experience building manageability software with REST APIs; backend development using modern UI frameworks may be considered when deeper systems experience is limited.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of OS internals and distributed data management concepts.
• Experience designing clustered, high-performance, and fault-tolerant distributed systems software.
• Familiarity with x86 architecture, virtualization, or storage management.
