Maintenance Services Technician II (Avionics)

Location: Onsite at Auckland Airport, New Zealand. Permanent full-time role with rotating 24/7 shifts, including weekends and public holidays; average of 40 hours per week averaged over a year. International and local travel may be required for up to 25% of the time.

What you will do

• Perform routine line maintenance transit checks for airline customers.
• Troubleshoot and rectify defects in aircraft IFEC systems using built-in and manual testing.
• Identify and replace defective line-replaceable units to restore system functionality.
• Operate vehicles and airline communications equipment on airport premises and around aircraft.
• Complete aircraft maintenance documentation and support aeronautical parts and inventory management.
• Communicate with airline customers and perform related duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

Requirements

• Relevant CAA aircraft maintenance licence or aircraft maintenance apprenticeship, preferably in avionics.
• At least five years of aviation industry experience preferred, or troubleshooting knowledge gained through commercial aviation, military experience, or technical education with related industry experience.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to meet airport authority requirements for access and vehicle operation.
• Availability for 24/7 rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Physical ability to perform extended manual handling, lift at least 25 kg, and work in confined spaces and extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to follow technical documentation and verbal instructions in English; attention to detail, teamwork, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
