Quality Control Technician Lead - Level 5 (Lithium-Ion Battery Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in De Soto, Kansas, United States. Ability to work all scheduled shift hours is required.

What you will do

• Own quality performance, standards, records, and process controls in a high-volume lithium-ion battery manufacturing environment.
• Evaluate and disposition complex nonconformances while coordinating containment, corrective, and resolution activities.
• Perform and oversee product and process audits, inspection methods, testing strategies, and measurement system applications.
• Analyze process capability using SPC, Cp/Cpk, trend analysis, and other advanced statistical methods.
• Drive systemic problem-solving, CAPA effectiveness, control-plan improvements, and automated quality monitoring dashboards.
• Mentor Quality Technicians and Inspectors and provide technical direction to Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or two years of prior experience in the functional area.
• At least four years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or manufacturing inspection.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, manufacturing processes, inspection methodologies, nonconformance management, SPC, and Cp/Cpk analysis.
• Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, PPAP, CAPA, and structured root-cause methods such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, or DMAIC.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel, MES, and data visualization platforms.
• Working-level English reading, writing, and speaking skills are required. Candidates must have valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction.

Nice to have

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
• CQT or CQE certification, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, or OSHA 10- or 30-Hour General Industry Certification.
• Eight or more years of experience in high-volume battery, automotive, or electronics manufacturing.
• Experience developing dashboards or automated monitoring tools with Power BI, Tableau, or Python.
• Experience supporting customer quality requirements, audits, and plant-level continuous improvement initiatives.
