Quality Control Inspector (Security Clearance)

Location: Orlando, Florida, United States. Security clearance eligibility is required; travel to customer sites may be required up to 10% of the time.

What you will do

• Inspect incoming, in-process, and final electrical and mechanical parts, assemblies, weldments, solder, crimps, and finished products.
• Read mechanical, electrical, weld drawings, schematics, BOMs, and specifications to verify compliance.
• Create First Article Inspection Reports and develop checklists, inspection plans, and quality control procedures.
• Perform Material Review Board activities for nonconforming parts and document defects, test results, and resolution steps.
• Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive action requests.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, manufacturing, QA, and suppliers while supporting customer-site quality activities.

Requirements

• 2–5+ years of quality control experience.
• Experience with inspection techniques and measurement tools.
• Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including SPC, FMEA, Six Sigma, or 8D.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Eligibility for security clearance and ability to work with sensitive information.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with electro-mechanical assembly, control panels, motors, sensors, or industrial equipment.
• Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, supplier quality, audit, or AS9102 experience.
• CQE or Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
