Network Engineer (AWS Cloud)

Location: Hybrid, onsite 2–3 days per week in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, United States. On-call support is required for one week every month.

What you will do

• Support multiple networking initiatives across corporate WAN/LAN infrastructure, AWS cloud networking components, and associated systems.
• Configure, secure, and maintain network devices, firewalls, VPNs, remote-access solutions, load balancers, and WAF tools.
• Manage network outages as the primary owner, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
• Monitor network performance and maintain system availability, reliability, redundancy, and secure website access.
• Support regulatory compliance programs, align network devices with NIST 800-53 requirements, and present initiatives to senior management.
• Lead project initiatives and support cloud migration activities.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience supporting networking environments operating 24/7.
• Experience with network access control products, authorized-host enforcement, and quarantining unauthorized hosts.
• Hands-on configuration of multiple firewalls, including application-layer controls; Palo Alto experience is preferred.
• Strong Cisco routing and switching, VPN, FTP, and other connection-method experience.
• Hands-on AWS networking experience, especially Gateway Load Balancers, network endpoints, and Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code.
• Knowledge of load balancers, WAF, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, TACACS+, BGP, network hardening, and AWS cloud technologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud migrations.
• RSA or GlobalProtect remote-access solution experience.
• Network certifications such as PCNSA, PCNSE, CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE.
• Bachelor’s degree or military experience in a technology field.
