Network Engineer (Azure)

Location: On-site in Washington, DC, USA daily Monday through Friday

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage LAN, WAN, cloud, and external network architectures.
• Operate, administer, secure, and document network infrastructure in Federal government cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues, identify root causes, and optimize performance, reliability, availability, and scalability.
• Configure and maintain Palo Alto firewall infrastructure, including security policies, routing, ACLs, NAT, VPNs, security profiles, logging, and upgrades.
• Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, expansions, and infrastructure changes with minimal operational impact.
• Administer and troubleshoot routing protocols, network connectivity, and NetApp storage infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of professional experience.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, cloud networking, routing, network architecture, and security principles.
• Active Secret security clearance required.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical topics to government and executive stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate certification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting Federal contracts.
• Experience with a broad range of network technologies and solution architectures.
