Maintenance Technician - Level 3 (EV Battery Manufacturing)

Location: De Soto, Kansas, United States; onsite; all 12-hour day and night shifts.

hirify.global produces lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles and is expanding a large battery manufacturing facility in De Soto, Kansas.

What you will do

• Maintain production equipment and machinery through preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, inspections, and replacement of worn parts.
• Check machine settings, gauges, HMI interfaces, sensors, belts, chains, motors, and other components.
• Perform basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting using hand and power tools, electric meters, measuring devices, and material-handling equipment.
• Conduct initial multimeter readings, read PLC ladder logic, identify breakdown causes, and escalate faulty operations or defective materials.
• Support TPM, machine ownership, continuous improvement, and the development of Standard Work.
• Collaborate with Operations and cross-functional teams, maintain accurate work records, and train technicians at the same or lower level.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or two years of experience in the functional area.
• At least two years of relevant maintenance or technical work experience.
• Ability to complete the Ramsay mechanical or electrical aptitude assessment.
• Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and speaking is required.
• Basic mathematics, problem-solving, teamwork, adaptability, and the ability to learn production equipment and processes.
• Valid authorization to work in the United States without restriction is required.

Nice to have

• Four or more years of relevant maintenance or technical work experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or production, PLC training, or completion of the PECNA Maintenance Apprenticeship Program.
• Associate degree or higher in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Lean Manufacturing or Yellow Belt, Journeyman, or PECNA-approved technical training certification.
