Construction Superintendent (HVAC/Process Piping)

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina, United States. Onsite role. Requires valid authorization to work in the U.S. Includes 10–15% national travel and possibly one week of international travel to Japan.

Salary: $110,000–$125,000 annually, with potential discretionary bonuses and incentives.

What you will do

• Oversee the installation of process and utility systems for industrial and manufacturing facilities, with a focus on HVAC and process piping.
• Supervise subcontractors and approximately six foremen while enforcing construction standards, safety requirements, applicable codes, and site regulations.
• Support qualification and maintenance of the unlimited North Carolina general contractor license.
• Manage change orders with subcontractors and engineers and support project planning, estimating, and proposal development.
• Lead scheduling across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning; conduct constructability reviews and provide field support during installation and testing.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, inspectors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams to resolve technical issues and secure approvals.

Requirements

• North Carolina General Contractors / Builders Exam qualification and construction supervision experience required.
• 10 years of mechanical or process construction experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• At least 4 years of subcontractor supervision experience.
• Mechanical aptitude in mechanical systems, industrial utilities, piping, and process layouts.
• Experience with regulatory and code compliance, permits, project execution, safety, and quality management.
• Excellent written and spoken English and valid U.S. work authorization required.

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management.
