Facilities Operations Tech - Level 5 (EV Battery Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in De Soto, Kansas, United States. All candidates must have valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction.

hirify.global is expanding a lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility supporting electric vehicles and sustainable energy solutions.

What you will do

• Monitor, maintain, and optimize compressed-air, HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, water, and other facility utility systems.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting, repairs, outage response, and corrective actions with minimal supervision.
• Use diagnostic and measurement equipment to identify root causes and improve system reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain equipment records, work orders, and CMMS documentation.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and coordinate with Engineering, Construction, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
• Provide technical guidance and hands-on mentorship to other facilities technicians.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or two years of facilities, maintenance, or related experience.
• At least four years of facilities, industrial maintenance, or related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and utility systems in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex systems, read schematics and technical documentation, and perform root cause analysis.
• Experience with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, measurement devices, and CMMS systems.
• Working-level English is required, including reading, writing, and speaking.

Nice to have

• Trade school or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, or a related field.
• OSHA 10 or 30, CPR, HAZWOPER, NFPA 70E, or other relevant safety and technical certifications.
• Eight or more years of facilities experience in high-volume manufacturing, preferably automotive or battery manufacturing.
• Experience with multiple utility systems, contractors, vendors, continuous improvement, capital projects, or scheduling software.
