Environmental Regulatory Manager

Location: Hybrid work from the Mississauga office at Ambler Drive, Canada. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada at the time of application. hirify.global Canada does not offer temporary work permit, visa, or permanent residency sponsorship.

Annual salary: $93,000–$106,000 CAD, plus eligibility for a maximum annual bonus of 10% of base salary.

What you will do

• Monitor, interpret, and communicate Canadian environmental regulations affecting products and operations.
• Manage environmental audits, communicate findings, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain compliance databases, analyze data, prepare reports, and manage technical documentation.
• Review supplier material declarations and product Bills of Materials for restricted substance and material disclosure compliance.
• Coordinate Extended Producer Responsibility programs covering recycling, batteries, packaging, and paper reporting.
• Support sustainability and ESG initiatives, environmental impact assessments, waste reduction, and circular economy programs.

Requirements

• University degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• 7–10 years of experience in environmental compliance programs, audits, impact assessments, and industry associations.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance frameworks, and environmental risk management.
• Experience with SAP, environmental compliance data, reporting, and advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
• Ability to analyze complex information, assess risks, solve problems, and develop recommendations.
• Strong communication, negotiation, relationship-building, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
