Lead Credit & Collections Analyst (AI)

What you will do

• Evaluate customer financial status and recommend credit exposure and high-dollar credit limits.
• Monitor customer exposure, outstanding receivables, delinquent invoices, and DSO across multiple ERP and supporting systems.
• Support weekly and monthly KPI reporting for key businesses and the total company.
• Use technology and AI to improve credit, collections, reporting, and departmental processes.
• Back up the Credit and Collections Manager and support approvals, customer follow-ups, and projects.
• Partner with Sales, Billing, Branch Support, Legal, and Accounts Receivable teams while developing cross-training programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 5 years of progressively responsible Accounts Receivable, Credit, and Collections experience, or a high school diploma with 9+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience analyzing annual financial statements and approving high-dollar credit limits.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, think strategically, and communicate broader goals and scope.
• Strong Microsoft Office proficiency, including advanced Excel functions preferred.
• Experience with financial ERP systems; Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or SAP knowledge is preferred.

Nice to have

• ERP, collections-module, or third-party portal implementation experience, including Ariba.
• People-management experience and interest in progressing toward a supervisor role.
• Experience mentoring, training, and coaching others.
