Platform Architect (Cloud and AI)

Location: Remote, based in Irvine, California, United States

Salary: $170,000–$220,000 per year, plus performance bonuses

What you will do

• Lead technical discovery and pre-sales activities with sales teams to identify client needs and develop solution designs and proposals.
• Build independent relationships with clients and prospects and present architectures to technical and executive audiences.
• Design on-premises, cloud, and hybrid enterprise platforms across infrastructure, data, analytics, and AI/ML.
• Develop virtualization and containerization strategies for modernization and multi-cloud deployments.
• Evaluate hardware and software technologies, support RFP responses and pricing, and produce architecture documentation, high-level designs, and bills of materials.
• Provide technical assurance during implementation and handoff to delivery teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, systems integration, or platform engineering.
• Experience in pre-sales architecture or technical consulting within a systems integrator or vendor environment.
• Expertise in compute, storage, networking, and leading cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Strong proficiency with VMware, Hyper-V, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Experience integrating data platforms, analytics tools, and AI/ML frameworks into enterprise systems.
• Strong communication, presentation, customer engagement, security, compliance, and solution governance skills.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware Certified Design Expert, or Kubernetes certifications.
