Assembly Technician (Jr - Mid) (Electronics)

hirify.global is recruiting for a prestigious federal contractor supporting electronic equipment assembly, maintenance, configuration, and repair.

What you will do

• Mount computers, I/O boards, power supplies, Ethernet hubs, terminal blocks, and other components on pre-drilled panels.
• Install factory-built cables, hookup wire, AC power plugs, waterproof fittings, and enclosure outlets.
• Label, package, ship, and palletize completed controllers and equipment.
• Duplicate and reimage hard drives, reinstall them in microcomputers, configure BIOS settings, and configure RFID readers.
• Maintain equipment compliance with current build standards and inspect non-compliant equipment.
• Perform root cause analysis, gather data, and report findings to support analytics and improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required due to a government requirement.
• Must be able to obtain a DHS Public Trust.
• High school diploma or GED plus technical/vocational school education or at least two years of related experience.
• Prior assembly experience or an electrical/electronics background, including relevant schooling.
• Basic knowledge of AC and DC fundamentals, wire gauges, and safe use of hand and basic power tools.
• Ability to stand for up to eight hours per day, lift up to 50 pounds, and consistently follow assembly and configuration instructions.

Nice to have

• Basic soldering knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows and/or Linux.
• Basic networking fundamentals.
• Experience with commercial off-the-shelf electronics.
