Process Engineer III, Assembly - Winding

Location: Onsite in Sparks, Nevada, United States. Candidates must have valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction.

What you will do

• Lead process improvement projects focused on defect reduction, new material and model introduction, specification validation, and overall equipment efficiency.
• Troubleshoot chronic production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective permanent countermeasures.
• Coordinate process and machine improvement activities with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams.
• Use data analysis to improve productivity, quality, cost, safety, and manufacturing output.
• Monitor and audit manufacturing processes against product specifications and standards.
• Develop standard work instructions, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and operator training for new or revised processes and tooling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, materials, industrial, mechanical engineering, or a similar discipline.
• 3–5 years of process or manufacturing engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with process development and improvement, troubleshooting, data analysis, tolerancing, and manufacturing process instructions.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis, identify critical process parameters, and apply tools such as FTA and FMEA.
• Ability to train manufacturing operators, manage multiple concurrent tasks, and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Working-level English proficiency is required, and unrestricted U.S. work authorization is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience with lithium-ion battery theory, electrochemistry, solution chemistry, or roll-to-roll processing.
• Knowledge of PLCs, control strategies, sensor and actuator relationships, industrial data analysis, or MES.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing, scrap reduction, cost improvement, FTE reduction, or Six Sigma.
