Product Designer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco or New York, United States

Salary: $225,000–$290,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Lead product design from research and product definition through prototypes, design reviews, specifications, and implementation.
• Partner directly with engineering, product, and customers to frame problems, validate ideas, and ship solutions.
• Design clear, fast, and polished interactions for complex technical workflows.
• Evolve the design system and establish scalable patterns across the product.
• Improve consistency, usability, visual quality, and interaction quality across product surfaces.
• Work with engineers in code to polish the UI and ensure the shipped experience matches the design.

Requirements

• Portfolio demonstrating strong visual and interaction design.
• Experience designing complex, technical, or developer-focused products.
• Ability to understand ambiguous customer problems, explore alternatives, and drive strong solutions.
• Deep attention to typography, layout, hierarchy, interaction, and systems.
• Experience working directly with engineers and customers, using rapid prototyping and iteration.
• Comfort with Git and VS Code, and interest in React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
