Product Designer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, hybrid

Salary: $175,000–$250,000 annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Own end-to-end product design, from research and information architecture through high-fidelity design and occasional implementation.
• Design polished interfaces that make complex code analysis clear and build trust in AI-generated suggestions.
• Define interaction patterns, micro-interactions, and motion for real-time review, conversational feedback, and agentic workflows.
• Build and scale a design system across the web, IDE extensions, Git platforms, and CLI surfaces.
• Create visualizations and information architecture for code quality metrics, dependency graphs, and AI-generated insights.
• Partner with engineering, product, and AI teams while establishing design best practices and raising the quality bar.

Requirements

• 2–5+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating polished UI and innovative interaction design.
• Experience shipping complex technical products end-to-end in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Experience creating and maintaining scalable design systems across multiple platforms.
• Mastery of modern design tools such as Figma.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Front-end prototyping experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience at developer-focused companies or a strong understanding of software development and Git workflows.
• Experience designing IDE extensions, AI/ML-powered interfaces, motion design, or micro-interactions.
• Contributions to open-source design systems.
