Java Architect - Practicing Solution Architect (Java)

Location: Hybrid role based in Columbus, OH; Dallas, TX; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; or Nashville, TN

Salary: $82,082–$193,440 base compensation annually

What you will do

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design scalable system components that meet functional, performance, and non-functional requirements.
• Create architectural diagrams, technical documentation, and presentations to communicate design decisions.
• Evaluate technologies, frameworks, and tools and recommend opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Conduct security assessments, implement required safeguards, and support application optimization.
• Coordinate with project managers, testers, architects, and other cross-functional teams during planning and issue resolution.

Requirements

• Senior Architect with 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Experience with React or Angular and Node.js.
• Knowledge of Azure, AWS, and microservices architecture.
• Utility domain experience is required.
• Ability to guide team members, define API specifications, resolve technical challenges, and promote coding standards.
