RF Communications Product Development Lead (Aerospace)

Location: Stevenage, United Kingdom; on-site attendance required three days per week. Region: South East UK. Security clearance: Must be clearable and may need to complete Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in product development, systems engineering, or project engineering within space, aerospace, defence, or another highly regulated industry.
• Strong understanding of RF communications systems, including communications equipment, antennas, and subsystem integration.
• Experience managing the full product lifecycle from requirements definition through design, qualification, testing, and delivery.
• Experience leading suppliers, coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams, and managing technical risk, schedules, costs, and requirements.
• Knowledge of engineering reviews and milestones such as PDR, CDR, qualification, and test reviews, together with verification and validation processes.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with satellite, spacecraft, or space systems programmes.
• Knowledge of spacecraft communications architectures, RF subsystem design, antenna technologies, and RF link budget analysis.
• Experience with data volume analysis, electromagnetic compatibility assessments, product assurance, APQP, non-conformance management, and quality processes.
• Experience supporting equipment qualification, environmental testing, acceptance activities, configuration management, and change control.
