Installation Technician I (Commercial Refrigeration)

Location: Virginia Beach, Virginia, United States. Onsite role with occasional nights, weekends, and out-of-town work required.

What you will do

• Assist with installing refrigeration systems in supermarkets, convenience stores, and cold storage facilities.
• Solder copper pipe, install PVC drain pipe, valves, blower coils, hangers, supports, and related refrigeration components.
• Locate refrigeration leaks, diagnose water-leak complaints, set superheat specifications, and lay out complex coolers.
• Read and interpret plans, blueprints, control drawings, technical manuals, specifications, and regulations.
• Complete project documentation and customer paperwork accurately and maintain organized truck inventory.
• Manage multiple priorities, complete assigned projects on time, and support customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with one year of related experience, or a technical degree with no required experience.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Mechanical aptitude, strong organization, communication, decision-making, and customer service skills.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at high elevations, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with minimal supervision.
• Availability for onsite work, nights, weekends, and out-of-town assignments.

Nice to have

• Technical degree.
• EPA 608 Certification.
