Skilled Machine Technician (Lithium-Ion Battery Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in De Soto, Kansas, United States. All candidates must have valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction.

hirify.global manufactures lithium-ion batteries and is expanding a large battery production facility focused on electric vehicles and sustainable energy.

What you will do

• Initiate, operate, recover, and shut down automated high-speed production equipment according to procedures and SOPs.
• Independently operate multiple machines and support reliable production output in controlled clean-room environments.
• Identify machine issues, monitor equipment performance, report abnormalities, and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Perform visual inspections, quality checks, process monitoring, and accurate production documentation.
• Train peers on machine operations, safety procedures, and quality checks while supporting cross-training.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Supervisors, and Engineers to resolve equipment and quality issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or two years of prior experience in the functional area.
• At least 1.5 years of prior experience in the functional area and experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Working-level English proficiency, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, work safely in a team environment, and comply with PPE, quality, and plant procedures.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Ability to remain standing for most of the workday, work assigned shifts, and safely lift or team-lift specified loads.

Nice to have

• OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour General Industry Certification.
• Two or more years of experience in the functional area.
• Standard Work and Job Instruction training.
• Knowledge of Kaizen, Standard Work Improvement, hand tools, and quality control procedures.
