Quality Engineering Technician I (Lithium-Ion Battery Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Sparks, Nevada, United States. Valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction is required.

hirify.global produces lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles and sustainable energy applications in collaboration with Tesla at a large-scale manufacturing facility near Reno, Nevada.

What you will do

• Conduct and implement quality control systems for lithium-ion battery manufacturing processes.
• Perform incoming materials quality control and inspections for cell parts, active materials, and chemical materials.
• Help establish quality control systems for the materials warehouse.
• Analyze materials input/output data to reduce defects and improve battery performance.
• Support materials audits of cell manufacturing processes to ensure production quality.
• Work onsite while following required personal protective equipment procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate’s or junior college degree in a science or engineering field.
• Experience with quality management tools such as control charts, FTA, and FMEA, plus Microsoft Office.
• Practical experience with materials analysis, testing, and chemical analysis equipment.
• Experience auditing under the ISO 9001 quality management system.
• Valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction is required.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of quality technician experience.
• Quality technician experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Extensive production data analysis and statistical process control experience.
• Experience reducing defects in high-volume manufacturing products.
