Principal Workday Analyst – Security

Location: Remote within the United States; the listed location is Minnesota

Salary: $113,600–$170,400 USD annually

What you will do

• Lead Workday Security strategy, design, configuration, role assignments, security groups, and support.
• Maintain domain and business process security policies, segmented security, integration security, and related framework components.
• Design scalable security models aligned with business needs, least-privilege principles, data protection, governance, and segregation of duties.
• Assess security changes, configure security for new functionality and organizational changes, and support Workday releases and testing.
• Troubleshoot complex access issues, process failures, role conflicts, and permission gaps.
• Support audits, control testing, access validation, remediation, and security governance activities while guiding analysts and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of Human Capital Management systems experience, including Workday Security configuration, or an advanced degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on Workday Security configuration experience in a complex business environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• For degrees earned outside the United States, the degree must satisfy the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
• U.S. work authorization is required for roles below Principal level; sponsorship is offered for Principal-level roles and above.

Nice to have

• Workday PRO Security certification.
• Experience supporting multiple Workday modules, integrations, single sign-on, or identity and access management.
• Experience with audits, compliance controls, security certifications, privacy, and data protection in regulated environments.
• Experience establishing Workday security governance, mentoring analysts, or leading cross-functional workstreams.
• Experience with Workday releases, testing, change implementation, and complex production issue resolution.
