Workday Configuration Analyst

Location: Houston, Texas; preferably onsite at the Houston office, with remote work considered for the right candidate. Candidates must have unrestricted US work authorization and must not require current or future visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Configure and support Workday modules, including Core HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Learning, Talent, and Absence, in line with business requirements.
• Design and optimize Workday business processes and scalable system functionality across modules.
• Support Workday releases through impact analysis, testing, deployment, UAT, and defect resolution.
• Develop and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, hubs, and data extracts for People operations and decision-making.
• Maintain data integrity, security, privacy, audit controls, and governance standards, including planning and executing high-volume EIB data loads.
• Partner with People, IT, and business stakeholders; provide Tier 2 Workday Help support, troubleshoot issues, and create knowledge-base and training materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, data analytics, business administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience supporting HRIS, IT, or HR technology environments and enterprise systems.
• Hands-on Workday support and configuration experience in one or more functional areas, such as Core HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Learning, Talent, or Absence.
• Experience supporting Workday implementations, enhancements, or post-production environments.
• Deep knowledge of Workday business process frameworks, security models, reporting, and complex configuration design, build, and deployment.
• Experience delivering scalable Workday solutions and actively configuring and optimizing functionality across modules.
• Experience with Advanced, Matrix, and Composite Workday reports, data analysis, releases, UAT, and defect resolution.
• Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, system reliability, process improvement, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical configurations, troubleshoot complex system and data issues, communicate technical concepts in a business-friendly way, collaborate across functional teams, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and stay current with Workday functionality and best practices.
