Supply Chain Operations Intern (Aerospace)

Location: Torrance, California, United States. Candidates must meet U.S. ITAR export-control eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Compensation: $34 per hour.

What you will do

• Support procurement, sourcing, and order tracking for precision components used in ground station production.
• Monitor inventory and analyze trends to optimize stock levels and prevent production delays.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to verify material specifications and quality standards.
• Analyze supplier performance, lead times, and logistics data to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Build dashboards, reports, and automated tracking systems for real-time supply chain visibility.
• Support process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and mitigate operational risks.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data for operational decisions.
• Proficiency with Excel and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with technical and operational teams.
• Passion for space technology, manufacturing, and operational excellence.
• Must satisfy U.S. ITAR export-control eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, satellite, telecommunications, or defense industries.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
• Proficiency in SQL or advanced MS Excel skills.
• Startup or fast-paced environment experience.
• Experience with dashboards or data visualization tools.
