TL;DR
Inventory Specialist II (Aerospace) (ERP/MES): Managing inventory transactions, cycle counts, material verification, and parts kitting for Terran R rocket production with an accent on traceability, inventory accuracy, and aerospace handling standards. Focus on investigating discrepancies, controlling serialized flight hardware, and maintaining reliable material flow to production during a first shift with guaranteed overtime.

Location: Long Beach, California, United States. Onsite first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. PT, with 10 guaranteed overtime hours per week. Flexible scheduling, overtime, and weekend work may be required based on production demands.

Salary: $23.38–$35.06 USD per hour.

What you will do

  • Execute receiving, putaway, picking, issuance, return, and other inventory transactions in ERP/MES systems while maintaining more than 99.9% record accuracy.
  • Schedule and perform daily cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, document root causes, and escalate variances.
  • Verify incoming materials, including part numbers, revisions, quantities, condition, shelf life, and quarantine discrepancies before production entry.
  • Pick and kit parts, materials, and hardware for production using FIFO and verifying serialized flight hardware against build records.
  • Handle materials according to aerospace FOD, ESD, contamination-control, 5S, and ITAR requirements.
  • Coordinate with production and cross-functional stakeholders on ETAs, supply risks, shift handoffs, and inventory-control improvements.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in inventory, logistics, receiving, or material handling.
  • At least 1 year of forklift experience and the ability to obtain and maintain OSHA-compliant certification.
  • Experience using ERP and warehouse management software with complete and accurate audit trails.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email communication.
  • Valid driver's license; ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work onsite in Long Beach and follow the required first-shift schedule, including overtime and weekends when needed.

Nice to have

  • Experience in aerospace, launch services, or highly regulated manufacturing.
  • Experience creating or improving cycle count and inventory-control procedures.
  • Familiarity with flight hardware, lot and serial traceability, ESD/FOD prevention, and 5S.
  • Experience with Jira or Confluence.
