Supply Chain Specialist (Defense Technology)

Location: Huntington Beach, California, United States; on-site

Salary: $90,000–$125,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Create and manage purchase orders in the ERP system based on demand signals, MRP recommendations, and internal requests.
• Track supplier acknowledgments, confirmations, ship dates, and deliveries; coordinate reschedules, cancellations, and expedite requests.
• Support Clear to Build reviews by confirming material availability and escalating supply gaps.
• Maintain procurement records and supplier communications for traceability and audit readiness.
• Assist with supplier onboarding, quotation collection, vendor master data, receiving discrepancies, blocked invoices, and inventory issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, planning, production, receiving, inventory, finance, and supply management teams while improving procurement workflows and dashboards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain or operations management, business, or an equivalent qualification; 3+ years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• At least 1 year of experience in a supply chain role.
• Experience in procurement operations and supplier management.
• Knowledge of enterprise applications such as PLM, ERP, or MES, with proficiency in data analysis.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; the role may involve access to information controlled under U.S. export laws, including ITAR and EAR.

Nice to have

• Experience in defense, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing.
• Understanding of ITAR, EAR, or NDAA compliance.
• Experience in startup or growth-stage operations.
