Location: Torrance, California, United States. The role supports work subject to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including ITAR; candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, protected individuals, or eligible to obtain the required authorizations.
Compensation: $36 per hour.

Space infrastructure company developing phased-array ground stations and communications technology for satellite missions, including national security, global connectivity, and disaster response.
What you will do
- Support the design and improvement of RF hardware for enhanced performance and reliability.
- Fabricate and characterize prototypes for antennas, feeds, and active RF circuits.
- Work with hardware and software engineers to test and troubleshoot integrated RF performance.
- Provide technical support to regulatory and site operations colleagues.
- Contribute to the development process from concept through production alongside electrical, RF, mechanical, manufacturing, and software engineers.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of transmission line theory and the Smith chart.
- Experience using Python or another programming language for data analysis.
- At least one year of experience with antenna, RF, or electrical design, fabrication, and testing through lab work or university projects.
- Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements for work on U.S. Government-regulated space technology.
Nice to have
- PCB design experience with tools such as Altium.
- Experience translating analyzed designs into machinable components with mechanical and manufacturing engineers.
- Familiarity with network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and other RF test equipment.
- Laboratory experience analyzing antenna systems, including S-parameters, isolation, radiation patterns, and propagation effects.
- Familiarity with 3D electromagnetic simulation tools such as CST, HFSS, ADS, FEKO, or Microwave Office.
