Engineering Summer Intern (Embedded, GNSS, RF)

Location: New Zealand — Wellington and Auckland; onsite project locations include Petone, Wellington, and Auckland

What you will do

• Test, validate, and document real-world product applications.
• Develop and improve automated software and hardware testing frameworks.
• Support system-level testing, troubleshooting, product verification, and validation.
• Evaluate GNSS receiver performance, interoperability, positioning accuracy, and signal quality.
• Assist with electronic circuits, PCB, RF, communication interface, and receiver module design.
• Analyse test results, document findings, and share recommendations with engineering teams.

Requirements

• Currently studying or recently completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in engineering, electronics, computer science, software engineering, telecommunications, or a related field.
• Must be studying science, technology, engineering, design, business, or a related subject at a New Zealand tertiary education institution.
• Must be legally permitted to work in New Zealand.
• Interest in embedded systems, automation, GNSS, RF systems, product testing, or hardware/software integration.
• Experience or interest in Python, C#, embedded C, electronic circuit design, or PCB design.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, organisation, and attention-to-detail skills.
