TL;DR
RF/Electrical Engineer (RF systems and high-voltage equipment): Designing, validating, and troubleshooting RF delivery subsystems and electrical components for semiconductor manufacturing equipment with an accent on impedance matching, transmission lines, high-voltage systems, and RF characterization. Focus on hands-on lab testing, EM and circuit simulation, structured issue resolution, data analysis, and developing software additions for data solvers and post-processing.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and validate RF delivery subsystems and electrical components.
  • Support RF system integration involving impedance matching networks, transmission lines, and related hardware.
  • Perform hands-on laboratory testing and characterization of RF and electromechanical systems using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and similar equipment.
  • Troubleshoot RF and high-voltage system issues, analyze test data, and improve system performance and reliability.
  • Support electromagnetic and circuit simulations, including design validation and optimization.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations, document design updates, participate in design reviews, and develop additions to data solvers and post-processing tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with approximately 8–10 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 5–8 years, or a PhD with 2–4 years of experience.
  • Working knowledge of RF fundamentals, transmission lines, and impedance matching.
  • Experience with RF/EM simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, or Q3D, and circuit simulation tools such as SPICE or ADS.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a structured approach to problem solving.
  • Basic scripting or programming exposure in Python, MATLAB, or a similar language.
  • Good communication and technical documentation skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with semiconductor equipment or industrial systems.
  • Knowledge of high-voltage and RF power systems, including systems operating from 100 kHz to 100 MHz, watt-to-kilowatt power ranges, and high-voltage DC delivery.
  • Experience with RF or microwave generators, impedance matching networks, transmission lines, and antennas.
  • Familiarity with PCB and schematic tools such as OrCAD or Cadence.
  • Understanding of high-voltage and high-current design risks, including arcing, tracking, heat, and parasitic effects.
