Intern - Characterization and Support (Fall 2026) (Semiconductors)

Location: On-site in San Jose, California; local candidates are preferred and applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $40–$69 per hour in California, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Validate system-level and electrical performance of internal silicon test chips.
• Drive system and electrical testing to identify silicon issues.
• Debug silicon issues in collaboration with analog and digital design teams.
• Prepare high-quality characterization reports.
• Work cross-functionally to support product functionality, reliability, and deployment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 0–2 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong fundamentals in analog and digital electronics, RTL, signal integrity, and control systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in San Jose during the Fall semester and legal authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience in the hardware, semiconductor, or electronics industry.
• Experience with script-based test automation using Python, C, or other scripting tools.
