Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – AWS (AWS)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $130,000–$180,000 annually, based on experience

What you will do

• Architect, deploy, and operate secure, scalable, highly available AWS environments for enterprise production workloads.
• Design AWS Organizations, multi-account landing zones, governance frameworks, centralized logging, and shared services architectures.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code and automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK, following DevOps and GitOps practices.
• Design resilient AWS networking and container platforms with VPC, Transit Gateway, EKS, ECS, Fargate, Kubernetes, and cloud-native networking.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and enterprise observability solutions with CloudWatch, X-Ray, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Lead cloud security, disaster recovery, cost optimization, architecture reviews, engineering standards, mentoring, and technical initiatives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional IT and cloud engineering experience, including 5+ years designing and operating enterprise AWS environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Expert knowledge of AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, Route 53, API Gateway, and CloudFormation.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation; production-scale EKS, ECS, or Kubernetes; and CI/CD, DevOps, GitOps, and infrastructure automation.
• Strong scripting skills with Python and Bash, plus cloud security, IAM, encryption, observability, logging, alerting, and SRE experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States. The role does not sponsor new H-1B visa petitions; U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, and H-1B transfer candidates may apply.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional, or equivalent certification.
• Experience with AWS Organizations, Control Tower, enterprise landing zones, cloud governance, FinOps, and the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Familiarity with Istio, Linkerd, eBPF-based observability, and Zero Trust networking.
• Experience with regulated environments such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP.
• Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments involving Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
