Senior AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Location: New York, United States; Workplace: Hybrid

Salary: $120,000–$145,000 per year, based on experience, plus equity in the form of RSUs.

What you will do

• Design, build, and manage scalable AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Own infrastructure projects from technical design and provisioning through deployment, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Build and maintain AWS environments using IAM, S3, EKS, EMR, and related cloud services.
• Develop Python and scripting automation and self-service capabilities to reduce manual infrastructure work.
• Optimize infrastructure costs through resource analysis, dashboards, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain CircleCI CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with engineering and database teams on deployments and production troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Strong experience designing, building, and supporting production AWS infrastructure, including IAM, S3, EKS/Kubernetes, and EMR.
• Advanced Terraform expertise for Infrastructure as Code, provisioning, and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration in AWS environments.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably with CircleCI.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Bash scripting, plus experience with AWS cost optimization, security, networking, and resource utilization.
• Experience supporting or troubleshooting production databases and independently managing complex infrastructure projects.
