Equipment Specialist III (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex equipment failures, recovery efforts, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate daily technical priorities for Equipment Specialists and provide direction during repairs, upgrades, qualifications, and validation.
• Lead troubleshooting of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, controls, and automated manufacturing systems.
• Analyze equipment, production, quality, and maintenance data to identify root causes, downtime, defects, and improvement opportunities.
• Lead PDCA, corrective-action, reliability, productivity, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Coach, mentor, train, and coordinate with production, maintenance, quality, engineering, and operational leadership.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Electronic Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field; relevant experience may substitute.
• At least 6 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, equipment support, automation, mechatronics, or a related technical area.
• Advanced troubleshooting expertise across mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, PLC, controls, and automated manufacturing systems.
• Experience interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings, using precision measurement tools, and analyzing operational data.
• Working knowledge of MES, Tableau, JMP, Microsoft Office, PDCA, RCA, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.
• Working-level English proficiency and valid authorization to work in the United States without restriction are required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree, QET certification, Six Sigma Green Belt, or advanced root cause analysis training.
• Experience with Sysmac, Omron PLC software, CAD, vision systems, Python, or advanced manufacturing analytics.
• Previous experience as a technical lead, project lead, shift lead, or informal team leader.
• Experience with equipment fabrication, machining, welding, 3D printers, microscopes, laser scanners, or custom modifications.
