NPI Buyer/Planner (Robotics)

hirify.global is hiring for a role supporting new product introduction and complex hardware manufacturing.

What you will do

• Convert EVT, DVT, PVT, and pilot-build schedules into time-phased material requirements.
• Review incomplete and changing BOMs with engineering teams, closing gaps in part numbers, revisions, quantities, and reference designators.
• Identify long-lead and single-source components, maintain shortage lists, and publish clear-to-build status and recovery dates.
• Manage the RFQ-to-PO cycle, including quotes, purchase orders, acknowledgments, ETAs, and supplier expediting.
• Manage material disposition for ECOs and deviations, including scrap, rework, use-as-is, and run-out decisions.
• Support build execution, inventory reconciliation, production handoff, and process improvements in NPI material flow.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or applicable industry experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in buying, planning, or materials management, including at least 2 years supporting NPI or prototype builds.
• Experience with complex electromechanical hardware and buying against immature BOMs in live engineering builds.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite and PLM tools such as Arena or Enovia.
• Advanced Excel skills, including XLOOKUP, pivot tables, shortage analysis, and coverage modeling.
• Ability to read BOMs and discuss tolerances, finishes, and component specifications with engineers and suppliers.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL or BI tooling.
• Background in robotics, aerospace, medical devices, automotive, or consumer electronics.
